About us

In keeping with our belief that video will be an increasingly important content medium, we have published our first, a short piece about Beagle.

Beagle Research Group, LLC is a CRM analyst firm founded in 2004.  We perform market research for vendors and advise end users in CRM selection, deployment and use.  We also publish a steady stream of analysis on many of the industry’s most popular topics as well as emerging trends.  For example, one of our core pursuits is researching emerging companies to understand current innovation trends.  This research informs the advice we give our clients and readers.

Denis Pombriant is a well-known analyst and thought leader in the CRM space.  He writes for CRM Magazine, DestinationCRM, Search CRM, CRM Buyer as well as his own web site and blog.  And he conducts research in emerging areas of front office technology and business and he consults regularly to many of the leading companies in CRM.

For over ten years he has made a habit of identifying and promoting emerging ideas in CRM and the broader software market.  In 2000 he was the first analyst to devote a practice to what was then called on-demand technology and has evolved into cloud computing.  In 2002 he began covering the integration of social networking and analytics in CRM, in 2004 he wrote an influential white paper titled “The New Garage” that proved to be the blueprint for cloud computing.  Since 2008 he has focused attention on sustainable business processes and the part that CRM and other front office technologies can play in sustainability.

In June, 2010 Pombriant and Beagle Research introduced a new award for sustainability in front office computing.  The ThinkForward™ award recognizes software companies that support sustainability in three key dimensions — sustainable customers, sustainable products and sustainable business processes that reduce energy use.

Also in 2010 he published a book, Hello, Ladies! Dispatches from the Social CRM Frontier. He is a frequent speaker on CRM topics anad recently gave the keynote address at the CRM Evolution conference sponsored by CRM Magazine in New York in August.
