Brad Wilson is the general manager of Microsoft CRM for the Product Management Group at Microsoft Corp. (I know that sounds redundant, but it isn’t).  He was kind enough to sit down with us a couple of weeks ago to talk about Microsoft CRM and its future both as a major product line for his company and as a part of a greater vision that integrates with all of the company’s offerings from Office to unified communications to green approaches.  He’s an interesting guy with a lot to say.

Ever think Microsoft CRM might work with Chatter?  Read the interview to find out.

Denis, thank you for this interview. It was interesting and surprising in relation to integration to Chatter.

I did find something a bit odd in Brad’s comment shown here. “As we try to get CRM technology into the hands of the broadest number of companies it comes down to making it available in ways that companies can consume the technology wherever they are.”

If Microsoft were trying to get CRM technology into the hands of the broadest number of companies, they’d offer some type of support for Mac. Last week I went out and signed up for a Dynamics CRM trial from my Mac and after being forced to take a Silverlight upgrade, they directed me to a web page telling me I’d need Internet Explorer and that I should buy a PC. I think with a total reliance on one browser on one OS, that’s not going to reach the broadest number of companies.

So, what did you think?
